Volunteer Information

Do you have some time to spare for the Waupaca Library?

The Waupaca Area Public Library is looking for volunteers in many areas! Stop in or call 715-258-4414 to learn more about our volunteer opportunities!

Ongoing Projects

Volunteer Icon
  • Daily Picklist: Pulling items from shelves that patrons requested 
  • Covering New Books
  • Adopt-a-Shelf: Choose a shelf and make sure items are in the proper order/location (training class will be provided)
  • FRIENDS of the Library: Join the group and help with donations, book sales, and advocating for the library.
  • Little Free Pantry: Help fill the pantry, organize, track, and collect food items.
  • Repair Books: Repair bindings and torn pages
  • Engagement Table: Host the table and teach a craft
  • Game Cart: organize and check cart during warmer months
  • Decorating Committe: Help decorate the library for seasons and events.
  • Walking Books: be a part of the program that brings library items to the homebound. (short orientation provided)

On Call Projects

(Will call when needed)
  • Weeding Lists: Collect from the shelves a list of items
  • Shifting Collections: Moving items to create better spacing on the shelves
  • Folding/Stuffing Envelopes
  • Cleaning Carts/Oiling Wheels
  • Job Services: Helping someone with a resume, job application, etc (expirience / computer literacy helpful!)
