Poetry Read and Open Mic Night

April is National Poetry Month!

In collaboration with the Waupaca Community Arts Board, and their poetry committee, we will be hosting an all ages open mic night on April 29.

We are excited to feature local poet and previous contest winner, Phyllis Shidell, with a reading of her works. And UW Stevens Point Poetry Club, “Rising Voices” joins us again this year. The winners of our 2026 contest, “Poems for a Shared World” will be announced and invited to read their pieces. All are welcome to sign up for the open mic portion at the end of the evening.

Doors open at 5:30pm in the library downstairs meeting rooms.
