Calling all teens! Let your voice be heard—help create the teen experiences you would like to see at the Waupaca Area Public Library by joining the WAPL Teen Volunteer Agents (TVA).

TVA members participate in the following projects:

• Assist in planning and hosting teen events
• Support social media campaigns to promote the library and offering creative input
• Provide feedback on library services, spaces, resources for teens
• Act as ambassadors to encourage their peers to use the library

• Earn volunteer hours for school or community service requirements.
• Add a great extracurricular group to your resume or college application.
• Build leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Gain experience in project management and event planning.
• Have a say in what books and events are available for teens and contribute to the library’s growth and impact in the community.
• Make new friends and interact with like-minded peers.

When Does TVA Meet?

TVA meets in person on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the Waupaca Area Public Library Teen Room. Other meetings may occur if teens sign up to participate in additional subcommittees, or to help out with events.  Please plan to meet anywhere from 1-to-5 hours a month if participant joins a subcommittee. 

How Do I Join TVA?
Teens must be in 6th-12th grade, attend meetings regularly (or tell the Teen Librarian when they cannot), and submit the TVA Application Form.

Can I Attend TVA Meetings If I’m Not A Member?

Yes, any and all teens are encouraged to attend TVA meetings. Teens must be a member to participate in TVA projects or volunteering in the Teen Room.
