The Waupaca Area Public Library is celebrating local student art at the annual Youth Art Month exhibit. The exhibit showcases the artwork of Waupaca’s elementary, middle and high school students.
Art teachers at each school chose artwork to be displayed and ranges from pencil drawings and paintings to ceramics and mobiles. Local judges select the top artwork at the show.
A reception will be held on Tuesday, March 5, from 6-7pm, to recognize participants. Awards will be handed out at 6.30pm.
Youth Art Month (YAM) is observed each March across the country to emphasize the value of art and art education for all children and encourage public support for quality school art programs.
Youth Art Month is located in the Lower Exhibit Room at the Waupaca Public Library. The exhibit is free to the public and open during regular library hours.
